Hey, I'm Osman ALP
DevOps Engineer & 3× AWS Certified — I build, automate, and scale things in the cloud.
Passionate about Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and making complex systems reliable and observable. I also write about what I learn — because good knowledge is meant to be shared.
A bit about who I am
I'm a DevOps Engineer focused on cloud-native infrastructure, with deep hands-on experience in AWS, Kubernetes, and the modern DevOps toolchain. I care a lot about building systems that are not just functional, but observable, resilient, and a joy to operate.
Beyond the day-to-day work, I enjoy writing technical articles — breaking down complex cloud and DevOps topics in a way that's actually useful for other engineers. I believe that clear documentation and knowledge sharing make our whole community stronger.
When I'm not automating things, I'm probably exploring a new café in Antalya or diving into a good series recommendation from a friend.

DevOps / SRE Engineer
Nov 2023 — PresentLeading cloud-native infrastructure on AWS EKS. Modularized Terraform codebase, built GitOps pipelines with ArgoCD and Kustomize, and implemented full observability with Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and Mimir. Set up CloudFront + WAF for API protection and latency reduction. Supporting the software team with CI/CD workflows via AWS CodeBuild, CodePipeline, and Bitbucket integrations.
SysOps Administrator
Dec 2021 — Nov 2023Managed multi-account AWS networking with 20+ IPSec connections across regions. Handled endpoint security via MDM/MAM, built IaC automation with PowerShell and Terraform, and maintained compliance with ISO and SOC2 frameworks. Responsible for production server lifecycle, OS patching, backups, and security tooling including CrowdStrike, Alert Logic, and MS Defender.
IT System Administrator
Jun 2018 — Dec 2021Provided technical support for 5,000+ external clients and 120 on-site employees. Monitored 250+ virtual machines across remote datacenters, optimized network performance, managed CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and maintained Linux/Docker infrastructure for ERP systems.
Certifications
AWS certifications verified on Credly — covering cloud foundations, architecture, and operations.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Associate
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator — Associate
What I work with
Not a buzzword list — a declarative snapshot of infrastructure I actually run in production, from cluster autoscaling to end-to-end tracing. Written the way I'd ship it: as a manifest.
